Steven C. Allen

Steven C. Allen, 69 of Huntington passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home. Steve was a 1969 graduate of Huntington High School. He worked at International Harvester in Fort Wayne for 10 years and later worked at Bendix in Huntington for 6 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge 837 in Huntington and was a 10 year member of Huntington County 4-H. Steve played softball for 20 years in Fort Wayne, he enjoyed all sports and was an avid Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and NASCAR fan. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhart, Sr. Steve loved to fish and play golf. Steve was born on February 24, 1951 in Wells County, the son of George and Alice (Simon) Allen. Survivors include a son: Charles Allen of Fort Wayne; a daughter: Elaine (Bill) Ohern of Fort Wayne; a stepdaughter: Gayanna Mosley of Kendallville; three brothers: Tom Allen of Defiance, OH; John Allen of Warren; Dave Allen of Geneva, IL; a sister: Sue Ann Horrell of Bippus; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm with a memorial service to be held following at 1:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
