

William Minniear, 84 of Huntington passed away at 9:25 pm on December 2, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital. William was a top insurance salesman for Farmers Insurance Group for many years. He previously was a television and appliance repairman for many years. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He collected toy cars and was a musician, he loved to sing and play music.
William was born on February 9, 1930 in Huntington, a son of Charles and Ethel Minniear.
He was united in marriage to Janet Hopkins in 1948 in Hartford City; she preceded him in death in 2009. He later married Bernadette (Coulter) Tester in 2010 in Huntington, his wife survives.
Survivors include two daughters: Diana (Ralph) Valencia of Banning, CA; Lee Ann (Brian) MacGavin of Yuciapa, CA; four stepsons: Bill (Dana) Tester of Huntington; Ted (Beth) Tester of Lexington, SC; Timothy Tester of Huntington; Todd (Holly) Tester of Roanoke; two granddaughters, four grandsons, twelve great grandchildren, several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: Fred, Howard, Jack and Paul Minniear.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 2:00 pm following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Father John Pfister officiating.
Interment will be at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington.
