William R. Pursifull Jr.

William R. “Bill” Pursifull, Jr., 61 of Huntington passed away at 10:50 am on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at his residence. Bill was a 1971 graduate of Huntington North High School. He was a lifetime pig farmer in Huntington County; he raised and sold 4-H pigs his entire life. He was heavily involved in the 4-H Fair, local and state. He enjoyed the farm life and always was there to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed IU Basketball. He would want everyone to come in casual dress.

Bill was born on September 23, 1953 in Wells County, a son of William R. and Martha L. (Wentz) Pursifull, Sr.

He was united in marriage to Peggy A. Baker on December 31, 1994 in Huntington County. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include his mother: Martha Houtz of Sebring, FL; stepmother: Martha Pursifull of Huntington; a son: Scott (Melissa) Pursifull of Huntington; a daughter: Wendy Singleton of Westfield, IN; three stepsons: Justin Yohe of Huntington; Jeffrey Wardwell of Huntington; Josh Yohe of Warren; a brother: Robert Pursifull of Sebring, FL; two sisters: Sherry (Carl) Keuneke of South Whitley; Vicki (Roger) Stephens of Huntington; a stepbrother: Mark Hamilton of Leo, IN; stepsister: Peggy (Blake) Caley of Markle; two granddaughters: Kelsey Singleton, Hailey Pursifull; a grandson: Landon Pursifull and four step grandsons: Jordan Yohe, Allen Yohe, Garrett Yohe and Spencer Yohe.

He was preceded in death by his father: William R. Pursifull, Sr. on December 30, 2014 and a stepbrother: Michael Hamilton.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11:00 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.

Interment will take place at the Emmanuel Cemetery in Wells County.
