Margaret Adkins Thompson

Margaret “Margie” Adkins Thompson, 89, of Huntington, loving wife and mother, died Monday, November 9, 2015 in Madison Park. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m, Thursday, November 12, 2015 by the Rev. Gary Patton at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary. Interment will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time. Margie was born February 26, 1926 in Wayne Co., a daughter of the late Boyd Adkins and Fern Mills Adkins McComas. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Albert Thompson; her son, Ronald Jack Thompson; sisters and brother, Mary Lewis, Marie Gossett and Clifford Adkins; 1 half sister, 2 half brothers and 3 step-sisters. Margie worked with her husband for many years at Quality Fruit and Produce Company.She was a faithful member of the 26th. Street Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Karen “K.T.” Thompson of Huntington; one sister, Beverly McNeely and husband, Roger of Huntington. And a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer a special “Thank You” to all of Margie’s caregivers.
