

Jesse Woodrow Callihan, along with his twin sister Bessie, was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on April 30, 1917 to James Henry and Lena Mary Callihan. Jesse was called home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2010.
Jesse retired from Reed Roller Bit Company of Houston after 43 years of service and moved from Houston to Huntsville in the early eighties.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, James Henry and Lena Mary Callihan; four brothers and two sisters, and his loving wife of over 70 years, Dothal Mae Callihan. Jesse is survived by three children, Jesse W. Callihan, Jr. and wife Margaret of El Dorado, AR., Joanne Deason and husband Bobby of Lady Lake, FL., and Karen Farr and husband Frank of Huntsville, TX; 10 grandchildren, Kim Neumann, Jesse “Trey” Callihan III, Michael Callihan, Stacey Callihan, Sanna Luker, Bobby Deason, Jr., Starla Loureiro, Leah Bradshaw, Rachael Doff, and Debbie Fiddyment; 30 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Stinnett of Clear Lake, TX, and Bess Blanton of Austin, TX; brother-in-law, C.C. Vick and wife Mary of Huntsville, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Bradshaw, Michael Callihan, Trey Callihan, Sean Callihan, Wesley Callihan and Bob Deason.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Highway 30 Huntsville Church of Christ at 1:00 p.m., and the interment ceremony will be at East Sandy Cemetery in New Waverly at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the Huntsville Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 6, from 6-8 p.m.
