Pauline was a native Cape Codder, born and brought up in West Barnstable to the late Alexander and Aili Maki Jarvi. She attended Barnstable schools, graduating in 1949, then onto Dean College. After graduation Pauline worked in various hospitals as a dietician: New England Deaconess, Tobey Hospital, Cape Cod Hospital, and Parker Hill Medical Center.
After retiring from Cape Cod Hospital, Pauline traveled with her cousin Cynthia to many places including Iceland, Scandinavia, Panama, Hawaii, and many Caribbean Islands.
Pauline is survived by a cousin on Cape Cod.
Services will be held at First Lutheran Church in West Barnstable with burial at Crocker Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Finnish American Society, P.O. Box 220, West Barnstable, MA, 02668, which Pauline started 35 years ago.
