Albina Ann Spinola

Born on July 4, 1941 in Waterbury, CT, she was the daughter of the late Frank P. and Mary (Kandi-Bovich) Kackowski.

In 1959, she graduated from Naugatuck High School and in July of 1961 from Waterbury Hospital School of X-Ray Technology. On June 1, 1963, she married Eugene J. Spinola.

Throughout her career as an X-Ray Technician, she worked for New York Life Examiners in NYC, Waterbury Hospital and a private practice in Waterbury, CT. She also worked as a Medical Receptionist for Dr. Manuel Nunes in Waterbury, CT, Medical Records Manager for Urology Specialists in Waterbury, CT, Medical Office Manager for Dr. Juan Fica in Waterbury, CT and Medical Receptionist for Dr. Raphael Hernandez in Stafford, VA until her retirement in September of 2002.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son in law; Andrew H. Higgins; and her two brothers, Francis S. Kackowski and William F. Kackowski.

She is survived by her loving husband, Eugene J. Spinola of Osterville; her four children: Mary Elizabeth Spinola Higgins of Casselberry, FL, Mario Francis Spinola and his fiancée, Allyson Harwood of San Pedro, CA, Karen Jean Spinola of Fredericksburg, VA, Michael Edward Spinola and his wife, Melanie of Naugatuck, CT; her grandchildren Kaitlin E. Higgins, Kayla A. Spinola-Shea, Rachel L. Higgins, Andrew H. Higgins, Michael F. Higgins; her great grandchildren, Christian M. Higgins, Adrian D. Higgins, Noah J. Dipi, Andrew H. Dipi, Francisco Dipi; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 767 Wianno Avenue, Osterville, MA 02655.
