Alicia Marie Bushman, 35, of Hyannis Ma passed away suddenly early Thursday morning, January 23, 2020, in her sleep after a long battle with Alcoholism.

Born in Alexandria VA, Alicia moved with her family at the age of seven to Massachusetts to Sandwich after having lived in the South Shore since she was an infant. She loved the Cape and it was home to her.

Alicia attended the Henry T. Wing School, and went on to graduate from Upper Cape Tech in 2001. Through high school, Alicia found fulfillment working with disabled children and proudly received a scholarship through The May Institute.

Despite her personal battle with alcohol addiction, Alicia had a heart full of love: for her family and friends; for music, dancing and making people smile and laugh; for cooking for those she cherished; and, for children and babies, especially her nephew a.k.a. “Little Monkey Boy”, Aiden. Even in becoming a waitress, Alicia found that she was able to help and serve others.

Alicia is survived by her mother, Deirdre Bushman, father John Howland, step-father Dana Lupica, brother Michael Bushman, sister Cristina Lupica, nephew Aiden Sullivan, grandmother Elizabeth A. Bushman, aunts Elizabeth M. Bushman and Susan Pearson, cousin Michelle Pearson, her boyfriend and love Stephen "Fitzy" Fitzpatrick, and many beloved aunts, uncle, cousins, and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday February 1, 202, 4-7 pm at Doane Beal & Ames, 160 West Main Street, Hyannis, Ma 02601.

Family will be accepting flowers, however, if you prefer to donate, donations can be made to Homeless Outreach, 460 West Main St, Hyannis, MA 02601, https://haconcapecod.org/.

Our friendship started when we were working together at a restaurant .We realized that we had a mutual love For live music and dancing And with that our friendship grew . We were there for each other for many personal issues and music was our Savior . We would go to our favorite neighborhood spot the boardwalk to sing love songs at the top of our lungs! One Christmas she gave me a CD she made with our” boardwalk jams” on it with a heartfelt note that rocked me to my soul! She was an amazing friend ! I will miss my dance partner ......and the beat goes on❤️
