Barbara Walsh

She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Donald, M. Walsh; her children, Michael Walsh and his wife, Julianne of Westwood, Mark Walsh and his wife, Ellen of Norwood, Kathleen (Kathy) Walsh of Mashpee, Deborah Capodilupo and her husband, Michael of Norwood; her grandchildren, Abigail, Aidan, Mairead, Ryan, Matthew, Luke, Patrick, Holly and Anthony; and her sister, Dorthea Travers and her husband, Stanley.

Barbara graduated from Dedham High School and attended the Museum School of Art in Boston, MA. She was a gifted artist and lover of cats (Honey), golf, traveling, yard sales and “thrifts, Dave’s diner, Castle Island, the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. She was a former member of Olde Barnstable/Hyannis Golf Club and Cape Cod Art Association. She retired from the Polaroid Corporation.

Friends may call on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 9 am to 10:30 am at the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street in Hyannis.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 am on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at St. Francis Xavier Church on South Street in Hyannis.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
