

Dorothy Loconto, 91, of Hyannis, MA entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, September 8, 2023. She was the beloved daughter of the late Angelo and Assunta (Dieso) Loconto and was the youngest of their eight children. Dorothy was born and raised in Worcester, MA. She moved to Cape Cod in 1972 where she became a permanent resident shortly thereafter.
Dorothy was an executive secretary for Raytheon for 35 years. She was fond of classical music and loved ballet. Dorothy’s love of music and the arts led her to volunteer for the Cape Symphony and the Cape Cod Melody Tent. She enjoyed being active in the community. She also volunteered at the voting polls and was a docent and volunteer at the JFK Museum. Faith was important to Dorothy. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy is predeceased by her seven siblings Joseph Loconto, Congetta Palmerino, Carmella Turo, Angelina Buccico, Theresa Christedes, Paul Loconto and Anthony Loconto. Several loving nieces and nephews survive her. Dorothy will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in her honor 10 AM Friday, September 15th at St. Francis Xavier Church, 347 South St., Hyannis, MA. A committal service will follow approximately 1:45 PM at St. John’s Cemetery in Worcester, MA where Dorothy will be laid to rest aside her parents and brother Anthony in St. Matthew section, Lot 254.
