

Earle "Champ" Crowell Jr., 58, of Hyannis passed away peacefully on August 17, 2016 surround by his devoted family. Our beloved brother, father, uncle and friend was an avid Boston Sports fan who will be remembered for his smile. He truly loved family and friends and affected the lives of all those he touched.
Earle received his diploma from Cape Cod Technical School in 1976 as part of the first graduating class. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served honorably aboard the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk for four years. He returned to the Cape and was a chef in several Cape restaurants for many years.
A Cape Cod native, Earle was one of seven children of the late Norma (Henderson) and Earle C. Crowell Sr. Earle was married to Denise Crowell (Davis) for 13 years until her passing in 2009. He is survived by his loving stepdaughter Whitney McNamara of Hyannis. Earle will be fondly remembered by his six siblings and their spouses: Deborah & Gerald Zeigler of Rangeley, Maine, Pamela & Lawrence Frazier of W. Yarmouth, Kathryn & Albert Fernandes of Hyannis, Christopher & Aileen Crowell of Hyannis, Sean Crowell & Wendy Collard of Hyannis and Jennifer & William Bullock of S. Dennis. His many nieces and nephews will forever cherish the memories they shared.
Visitation will be held at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home in Hyannis, on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 11:15am at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
