

Edward A McCarroll died after a lengthy illness on February 17, 2011 at the Bedford Hills Health Care Center in N.H.. Born in Canada, he entered the seminary for two years following high school graduation. Later, he became a furrier for Annis Furs and later worked at J.L. Hudsons of Detroit. He married his wife Kathleen (Sul) McCarroll in 1956. In 1970 they relocated the family to the Cape and he became a carpenter. One of his favorite hobbies was constructing and resurrecting old furniture. He enjoyed singing, especially in church. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He will be fondly remembered for his unique sense of humor.
He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen after 45 years of marriage. He leaves two sons, Christopher P McCarroll and wife Christine of Andover, MA., E. Andre~ McCarroll and wife Linda of Valrico, FL. In addition he is survived by two daughters, Ann M. Count and husband Steven of Brookline, N.H. and Michelle McCarroll Cooley and husband Christopher of Marstons Mills, MA. Edward was the 4th youngest of 10 siblings and sole survivor at the time of his passing. He also leaves 5 grandchildren, Samuel, Caroline, Kendric, Casey, Mark Anthony and several nieces and nephews including Ronnie Cribbs of Canada.
Visiting hours will be at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 W. Main St. on Tuesday February 22, 2011 from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday February 23 at 10am at the Our Lady of Hope Church Rt. 6A West Barnstable, MA.
