Emily was born and grew up in Chelsea, MA, but moved to Swampscott in her early 20’s, where she met and married her husband of 64 years, Alfred H. Hutchinson. They moved to Cape Cod in 1980. Alfred passed away in 2000.
Emily had a wonderful sense of humor, loved children, singing, reading, bowling, and cooking, but mostly her family. She is survived by her five children, Charles Hutchinson, Richard Hutchinson, Robert Hutchinson, John Hutchinson, and Annette Grant. She leaves 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate her life is planned for the fall. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in her memory to the Osterville Baptist Church (Deacons’ Fund), 824 Main Street, Osterville, MA 02655, to help those in need.
