

Rev. Francis A. Carlos, 78, retired U.S.C.G., went to eternal rest on Monday April 2, 2012. Born and educated in Provincetown,he was the son of the late Helen Flores. He entered the U.S. Navy in July 1955 and served proudly in the World War II Italian occupation where he met his future wife, Serafina Angelone. Married in Italy, he returned to Provincetown and then later sent for his beloved wife to join him. Proud to serve his country, he re-enlisted into the U.S. Coast Guard November 1959. Serving n the Korean and Vietnam Wars, dedicating his life for 22 years of service. Residing in Hyannis, he was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Nutrition Mission in feeding the poor and homeless. He enjoyed yearly travels to Florida and Benevento, Italy where he enjoyed spending time with his extended family and friends. He is survived by "Nice Girl" his beloved wife, Serafina, of 56 years. His legacy willl be carried on by his three daughters and son. His many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandson.Visiting hours will be on Thursday April 5, 2012 from 4-8pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 7:30pm on Thursday. Interment will be on Friday April 6 at 1:45pm at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne MA.
