The proud grandfather of Kagan, Maya, Willem, and Luke, he is survived by his sister Maureen and her husband James Moysey of Winthrop, and many nieces and nephews. Frank devoted his life to his family, education and knowledge. Having served as a cryptographer for the US army in Italy, he returned to study psychology at the University of Missouri. He began his career at the newly formed Emerson College; he was the first director of financial aid. He moved to Cape Cod in 1970 to begin his thirty-year career as professor and counselor at Cape Cod Community College. There he served in many administrative and union capacities. He was an early enthusiastic proponent of using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator in the workplace and for developing personal relationships. In 2000, Francis retired with the distinguished honor of Counselor Emeritus.
Frank was an avid photographer and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, especially to Charleston and Yosemite. He had many creative interests: designing, building, and remodeling his home and garden, creating stained glass, carving and woodworking. He loved sightseeing in Europe, and felt fortunate to visit County Donegal in Ireland, the birthplace of his father John. In addition, he was a friend of Bill W.
