Gloria C Johnson

Born on June 5, 1935 in South Weymouth, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alberigo A. and Clara (Mariano) Garofalo.

On June 30, 1963, she married Ronald W. Johnson, Sr. at the Immaculate Conception Church in East Weymouth.

Gloria was a letter carrier in Centerville for the U. S. Postal Service. After her retirement, she went on to work for Midnight Mail in Hyannis.

She loved old movies and early morning walks. During her younger years, Gloria enjoyed traveling. More than anything, she cherished the time that she shared with her children, grandchildren and family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ronald and her brother, Patrick A. Garofalo.

Gloria leaves behind her three children, Gloria C. Johnson of Centerville, Ronald W. Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Selissa of Cotuit, Debra A. Zanoni and her husband, Bernard of Centennial, CO.; her three grandchildren, Elizabeth Zanoni of CO, Austin Zanoni of CO, Nicholas Johnson of Cotuit; her sister, Mary A. Hazleton of Hyannis; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be from 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street in Hyannis.

A Funeral Mass will be at 10 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 South Main Street in Centerville. Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
