Joseph Stojak

Joseph John Stojak passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 25, 2022 after a long illness. He was predeceased by his beloved parents Arthur Sr. and Carol (Silva) Stojak. He leaves behind son James Stojak, two sisters Margo Santangelo and Laurie Fogel, brother Arthur Stojak Jr, sister-in-law Dondi Stojak, brother-in-law David Fogel, nieces and nephews Hunter Stojak, Christine DeBalsi, Daniel Santangelo, Tiffany Santangelo, and Amanda Santangelo. He also leaves behind many great nieces, great nephew, aunts Jean Duce and Nancy Zych as well as over 100 cousins.

Joey was born and raised on Nantucket and was known to all. The nicest guy you’ve ever met, willing to give a helping hand to anyone who would ask. He would give you the shirt off his back if you didn’t mind a few automotive stains on it. He spent most of his adult life as a mechanic at Nantucket Auto Body and various other garages on Nantucket Island. As a younger man you could find him fixing his friend’s bikes and mopeds and having fun with family, friends, and fishing at the piers and various ponds with his sister and cousins.
