Kathleen (Stewart Wetmore) Schiavo was born in Norwood, MA and grew up summering on Cape Cod, swimming, sailing and playing on Lake Wequaquet. Growing up with her sisters, brothers, many cousins and aunts at the lake were the best days of her life. It was there that she met her future husband, George Wetmore.
Kathy worked at the Barnstable Police Department for many years and enjoyed her work and the friendships she made. She married William Schiavo in 1993 and lived in Hyannis. Kathy retired too soon in 2011 after suffering a stroke.
Kathy loved her family, loved to be with her sisters and brothers and just spend time together. She loved to sing, was an avid reader and enjoyed painting. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Robert Stewart and her mother, Elaine Stewart and her brother James Stewart, her nieces Kimberly Stewart and Kelly Ann McDonald.
She is survived by her two kids, Cynara Connell and Sara Weeks and her husband Matt Weeks; their children Maggie Murillo, Tommy Watson and Maeve Weeks; and two great grandchildren, Destiny Huss and Ryan Plymire. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Stewart and his wife Donna; her sisters, Bonnie McSpiritt and her husband Andy, Betsey Ross, Ginger McDonald, Cindy Stewart and her wife Becky Brown, Susan Stewart and her husband Bruce Chasser, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was a survivor, a fighter, and we will miss her everyday.
