Louise C. Starr, 92, of Hyannis, MA died peacefully at home on Monday, September 17, 2012.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Walter B. Starr Sr., in 2000.

Louise leaves her three sons, Walter B. Starr Jr. of Clinton, Ron S. Starr of Hyannis, Michael T. Starr and his wife Judith of Shrewsbury, her daughter, Cynthia A. (Starr) Grenier of Centerville, five grandchildren, Adam Starr, Jared Starr, Laura Starr, Amanda (Grenier) Southern, Allison (Grenier) O’Neill, a great grandson, River Starr and her good friend Ursula Borror.

She was very proud of her business, Louise Starr Bridals, which she founded in West Boylston in 1967. She relocated the business to Hyannis in 1974 and remained actively involved until her retirement in 2006 at the age of 86.

Louise loved living on Cape Cod and spent many hours walking the beach with her dog Coco.

She enjoyed swimming and spending time at the Barnstable Senior Center. She was an outgoing and friendly person who enjoyed meeting and talking with everyone. She never let age interfere with her enthusiasm for life.

Louise was truly an inspiration to all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank the VNA Hospice for all their help and kindness.

A funeral service will be held Monday September 24th at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville. There will be no calling hours.
