

Marco Karacalidis, a kind and giving individual, made his transition on October 21, 2024, at the age of 70. He was born in Constantinople, Turkey to Lefteri and Alexandra Karacalidis, on August 21, 1954. He is survived by his children, Christopher Karacalidis and his wife, Kimberly, of Powder Springs, GA; John Karacalidis and his wife, Megan, of Walpole, MA, grandchildren Payton, Eva, Andrew, Jack, Ayden, Ellie and Zoe, his two sisters, Sophia Makris of Tucson, AZ and Mary Mullin of Centerville, MA; his nephews Nicolas Makris of Tucson, AZ , Anthony Makris and wife Kenzie of Sandy, UT; Lucas Mullin of Fort Liberty, NC; Matthew Mullin and his wife Sofia, of Washington, DC; and Jason Mullin of Falmouth, MA, many loving cousins and a host of lifelong friends. He is predeceased by his mother and father and his brothers-in-law George Makris and Theodore Mullin.
Marco was a man of a strong work ethic and was very committed to his work as a skilled machinist. In his free time, Marco found joy in the simple pleasures of life—cooking, attending concerts, playing the bass guitar, cheering on his favorite sports teams (the Jets), spending time at the beach and rooting on his grandchildren in their many sporting activities. Marco will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Visitation will take place at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, in Centerville, MA, on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 AM. The funeral services will be immediately after at 11:00 AM followed by the burial at Town of Sandwich Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
