

Born on June 12, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Leon M. and Gertrude M. (Fox) Fiske. When she was a teenager, she received the Golden Eaglet, the highest award in Girl Scouting.
She received her BA from Bridgewater Teachers College and went on to earn her Maters in Education from Boston University.
Marjorie’s first job as a teacher was in a one room school house in Goshen, Massachusetts. She then moved to Sagamore where she met the love of her life, Byron R. Hall and they were married on June 20, 1947. Later she went on to work in Barnstable School System as an elementary school teacher and reading specialist.
In 1943, she became a member of The First Baptist Church in Hyannis where she served on many committees and was a choir member for more than 60 years. Over the years, she and her husband went on many religious retreats to places such as Haiti, Israel and Alaska. Marjorie loved traveling and camping. More than anything, she cherished the time that she shared with her family, students and her church family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Byron R. Hall; her son, Leon R. Hall, Sr. and his wife, Judith of Brewster; her daughter, Peggy A. Laurie and her husband, Stephen of Newport, VT; her three grandchildren, Leon Russell Hall, Jr. and his fiancé, Sarah M. Licastro of West Yarmouth, Mallissa L. Hall and her partner, Justin Campbell of West Yarmouth. Danielle L. Martin and her fiancé, Michael Centofanti of Cambridge; her sister, Edith J. Facey of Leyden, MA; her brother, Leon M. Fiske and his wife, Kay of Dallas, TX; and three generations of nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service at The First Baptist Church, in Hyannis, on July 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. The burial services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
