
Born on October 21, 1932, he was the son of the late Richard A. and Mildred H. (Crouse) Holman.
He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Richard was a craftsman by trade. He loved trains, collecting old pens, coins, stamps and sitting by the Cape Cod Canal watching the boats go by. Richard never missed a beat, he was always active. He taught Bible study and was a devoted member of the Christ Chapel in Hyannis, where he was also a member of the choir. More than anything, he cherished the time that he shared with his family and friends.
Richard is survived by his three children, Ann Marie Dorego and her husband, Gilbert of Hudson, MA, Peter Holman of Hudson, MA, Pamela J. Holman of Marlboro, MA; his six grandchildren; his two great grandchildren; and his companion, Bonnie Follows of Hyannis.
Friends may call from 4 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street in Hyannis.
A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, September 7, 2012 at Christ Chapel, 1200 Old Stage Road in Centerville.
Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
