Richard Walker, 48, of Hyannis passed away peacefully at home. Richard was a lifelong resident of Hyannis. He was a 1987 graduate of Cape Cod Tech HVAC. Worked for the Town of Yarmouth Water Department for over 20 years.
Richard was an avid BMX bike racer winning many trophies. He loved camping, hot rods and model cars.
He leaves behind a loving family. Parents James and Sylvia Walker, siblings James Jr. "Jimmy" and Lynnette Walker all of Hyannis. He is predeceased by his sister Cheryl Walker. He also leaves behind his former wife Laurie Walker and her children Heather and Katherine McMurtrie; grandkids Malachi and Cayden Cowan and Madalynn McMurtrie.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 4pm to 7pm at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 W. Main St., Hyannis, MA 02601.
