

Samuel was predeceased by his first and only love, Eleanor (Malaguti) Aprea, to whom he was married for 67 years.
Born on June 11, 1926, in Boston, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Stella (Rampini) Aprea.
Sam is survived by his children, Michael and his wife Linda, Mary and her husband Stephen, Mark and his wife Maria, and Lisa. Sam was also predeceased by his daughters Denise and Diane. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Sam was a very proud World War II veteran. He entered the war at the age of 17. During his service, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the LST 972 in the Asiatic-Pacific as a small boat coxswain.
He had a successful career at Boston University, where he was in charge of buildings and grounds. Following his time there, he started a successful business called Helgra Construction. He was very talented when it came to anything involving building.
In his free time, he loved to dance and visit the casino with his wife and family. Sam lived a very full and wonderful life.
Sam will be laid to rest with a final goodbye at Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home in Hyannis, MA, at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 6th, followed by an 11:00 a.m. Mass at Corpus Christi in Sandwich, MA. Burial will take place at Bourne National Cemetery with full Military Honors following all services.
