Sheila Marie Jones

She was the wife of David T. Jones. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Krisann Crosby and her fiancé, Kurt Lariviere, Marybeth Cone and husband Bill, Ann Marie Montcalm, Stephen Jones, Leslie Jones and Lisa Jones. Sheila was most proud to be Grandma to her 19 grandchildren; Nichole, Joshua, Anthony, Mia, Danyelle, Ali, Nathan, Collin, Domenic, Bridget, Megan, Matthew, Tommy, Brendan, Sean, Catherine, Amanda, Nick and Renee, and three great grandchildren; Leah, Brandon and Braelynn. She also leaves behind her beloved sister-in-law, Maryellen Doherty. She will be forever missed by her furry friend, Lilah, who never left her side. Sheila is predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Mary Lawlor.

She was born on April 7, 1941 in Hyannis where she lived her entire life. She was quite proud to be a native Cape Codder and told anyone she could. She was a graduate of Barnstable High School Class of 1959 and played an active role in organizing and planning her class reunions. She was employed by the Town of Barnstable for over 20 years where she made many lifelong friendships.

She was happiest surrounded by her family and was most often found cheering on her children and grandchildren in all of their activities and achievements. Sheila especially loved watching hockey games at Kennedy Rink and HYCC. Sheila loved to talk! She told stories like no other. Spending time with family and friends and sharing dance moves brought her the most joy. The macarena and the wobble were 2 of her favorite dances that she taught her family.

Visiting hours will be Monday, June 22, 2020 from 4pm -8pm at Doane, Beal and Ames, 160 West Main St Hyannis, MA. Due to COVID restrictions, funeral mass and burial will be private.
