

Steven, know as “Bumsy” was a student of Hyannis West Elementary and a Graduate of Barnstable High School Class of 1999.
He worked for Roderick Construction Co. a family business, as well as the Barnstable Water Department. He was a true fan of the New England Patriots and was usually spotted sporting his Boston Red Sox Cap. He had such a love for the game of baseball, which he learned from his Great Uncle August “Auggie” Roderick.
Bumsy was always the life of the party and could mingle with a variety of ages. He was fun and exciting and consistently joked with family and friends.
Some of Bumsy's newest interests was watching cooking channels and learning new recipes to share with family, especially his children. He loved to man the grill and watch all enjoy his food.
Bumsy’s greatest love was his 3 daughters. He was extremely proud of each accomplishment in every sport attempted by the 2 eldest, while the youngest amazed him with her inquisitive mind. He loved to encourage his girls.
Bumsy is survived by his 3 daughters, Ariana Roderick and Aaliyah Roderick of Hyannis, Ma., and Tia Roderick of Taunton, Ma. His mother Toni Gomes of Hyannis, Ma., Father Steven Roderick, Sr. and wife Lisa of Mashpee, Ma., Grandparents Manuel Roderick, Jr of Marstons Mills, Ma., and Mable Daskalakis, of Port St. Lucie, Fl. 2 sisters Darilyn Gomes Hamilton and husband Damone of Brockton, Ma. and Brianna Roderick of Hyannis, Ma. 2 Brothers Ryan Corey of Falmouth, Ma. and Jordan Roderick of Mashpee, Ma. 2 nieces D’jionna and Meliana, and 2 nephews Dakari and Jadus. He leaves a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends and 1 Godchild Manisha.
