Tom is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara Cullen Clayton, his daughter, Elizabeth C. Fitzsimmons and her husband Brooks of Dallas, TX, his son, Nicholas P. Clayton and his wife Linda of Sudbury, MA, his eight nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Tom held a BA from Windham College and a MA in from Bennington College. He taught Art and History at the Riverview School in East Sandwich for 25 years before starting his second career as a decorative painter. Tom was extremely fond of cooking, gardening, and was an avid skier.
