Jerry was born in Christopher, Illinois, to Hayward and Margaret Walker, on August 29, 1948.
Jerry worked at A to Z MFG, over 30 years. He loved to cook and his specialty was spaghetti and tuna casserole that he made for his grandkids Joshua and Katrina for their birthdays. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren; he loved the CHIEFS and his little dog Oscar.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Terry David and Michael Walker of Milwaukee, WI.
Jerry is survived by his sister; Sandra Young, two brothers; Rex and Roger Walker. Jerry has a son; Jerry Douglas and two daughters; Christina Caldwell and Missy Walker. He has ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Jerry considered Billy Peavler a son.
Jerry was a loving person, a great man and a wonderful papa.
Services are scheduled for Thursday, May 27th at 6 pm, Newcomer’s Noland Road Chapel, 509 S. Noland Rd., Independence, MO 64050. Following the service there will be a balloon release in Jerry’s honor, we welcome you to join us.
