Linda J Spears, age 69, of Independence, passed away November 12, 2017. Visitation service, November 15, 2017, 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Service, 10:30am, November 16, 2017. All services at Newcomers Noland Road Chapel. Burial in Mound Grove. Linda was born September 14, 1948 in Sedalia, Mo. to William and Vera (Nutt) Schott. She was raised in the country and moved to Independence. She met and married Richard Lee Spears December 18, 1965, in Sedalia, Mo. There were married for 52 years. Richard worked for the railroad and Linda stayed at home to care for the family. Besides being a caring mother and friend, she enjoyed her grandchildren, her children and their friends. She loved animals, crocheting, knitting, latch-hooking, beading, cooking, reading, and traveling. Her elegance and presence will be greatly missed. Linda Jo Spears is survived by her loving husband Richard Lee Spears. Sons; Stephen (Lisa) Spears, Tracy ( Hannah) Spears. Adoptive daughter; Crystal Meyer. Brother William (Rose) Schott. Grandchildren; Zachery, Dylan, Abigail, Issabella, Xavier, Kobe. Neighbors and extended family and friends.
