Richard Scott Workman

Richard (Scott) Workman, age 48, of Independence, passed away Feb 2, 2018. Visitation services, Wed. Feb 7th, 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Service, Thursday, Feb 8th, 2018, 10am. All services at Newcomers Noland Road Chapel.

Scott was born on July 26th, 1969, to Richard and Terry (Reese) Workman. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Shawnee Mission North in 1989. He received his MBA from Webster University.

Scott was united in marriage to Patty Mathis on May 31st, 1998 at Pilgrim Chapel in Kansas City, MO. Scott spent his 20 year career at Sprint as an analyst. He and his wife Patty were avid travelers with family and friends. His other hobbies were baseball, avid Royals and Chiefs fan, golfer, and time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Clive Workman and half-brother Richard Claude Workman.

He is survived by his wife Patty Workman, mother; Terry Reese, Step-sons; Philip (Whitney) Mathis, Chad Mathis, brothers; Jeff (Stephanie) Workman, Gary (Kathy) Workman, Kevin (Jenee) Workman. Brother in law Jim Polito and half-brother Clint Workman. Grandchildren Harper, Everett and Violet. Nieces Elaine, Crystal, Melissa and Ryan; great-nieces Alynna and Kirsten, and great-nephews Ryan and Joshua, Jr.
