She was born on November 3, 1946 in Melbourne, Arkansas to Edward and Bethel Rush.
Robbie graduated from Truman High School in 1965. She worked for Boatmen's Bank for over 25 years before retiring in 2000. She worked at Crossroads Shelter for a short time after retiring.
She married George Schabel on June 18, 1977.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Independence and enjoyed volunteering with their missions in actions group. Robbie enjoyed riding with George on his Harley, spending time with her children and grandchildren, growing flowers, crafting, feeding and watching the birds, reading books, going to the movies, and cheering on the Chiefs. Her greatest joy in life were her 9 grandchildren. She enjoyed having them over for sleepovers and attending all of their activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Bethel Rush.
She is survived by her husband George Schabel of 46 years of the home, son Bill Ledford (Amy) of Lee's Summit, MO, daughter Stacey Weir of Blue Springs, MO, daughter Misty Cooper (Jeff) of Lee's Summit, MO. Grandchildren Kameron, Evan, Kiley, Olivia, Anna, Ella, Cale, Quinn, and Ava. Brothers, Farrel Rush (Joy), and Lorne (Kim) Rush. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be deeply missed by all those that knew her and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 1 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church Independence with a service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Higginsville Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri.
