

Sylvia was born July 23, 1951, in Independence, Missouri to the late Dwain A. and Dawn P. (Bean) Ware.
She enjoyed playing the piano and singing. She was a lover of animals, including her pet rooster that she adored when she was 4 years old. She also enjoyed taking family vacations.
Sylvia was a 1969 graduate of William Chrisman High School in Independence, Missouri, where she was a member of the Spanish Club.
She married her first husband upon graduating from high school and from that union they had a daughter and a son. During this time, she worked in the clothing and fashion department at Sears. After her employment with Sears, she worked for her uncle at Milton Gold Foundry, where she held many positions, a bookkeeper as well as a dump truck driver. She developed a passion for ballroom dancing, bowling and playing Pinochle. In 1979, she married Kenneth Jennings and from this union they had a daughter and two sons. Once the children reached school age, Sylvia started driving buses for the Independence School District and also worked part time at The Lord's Warehouse which was a Christian bookstore, owned by her brother and sister-in-law. Sylvia was a lifelong believer in Jesus Christ.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Kenneth Jennings and a sister-in-law, Susan Ware.
She is survived by her children, Christina Parrino, Matthew Hey, Janene Jennings, Jerome Jennings, and Jeremy Jennings; her grandchildren, Sterling Parrino, and Christyle (Parrino) Duckworth (Aaron). Sylvia is also survived by her two brothers, Stephen Ware (Viva) and Conrad Ware (Carla).
A memorial gathering for Sylvia will be held Friday, April 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newcomer's Noland Road Chapel, 509 S Noland Rd, Independence, Missouri 64050, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM.
