Wayne Elton Peterie 80, of Indep., MO passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Friday, June 27th at Newcomer’s Noland Rd. Chapel. Graveside services will be at 12pm Saturday at Stockton Cemetery (Stockton, MO). Suggested memorial contributions to St. Luke’s Hospice House (3516 Summit KC, MO 64111) Wayne attended Eastside Baptist Church. He retired in 1994 from KCP&L. Wayne enjoyed waterskiing, fast boats, cars and motorcycles. He was an avid restorer of antique John Deere Tractors, a diehard NASCAR and Chiefs fan. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Ryan, son Larry and sister Marsha. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Patricia, sons James LeRoy, John Maurice (Teresa), David Wayne, Terry Bill; daughters Laura Elaine, Deborah Ann; sister Elaine; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and one on the way. Wayne also leaves lifelong friends Dale and Barbara Goodman of Stockton, MO, Joe and Barbara Dutton of Belton, MO and Mark Welch of Kearney, MO
