Clara touched many in her life, whether she knew them for a long time or a short time. She was a beautiful person with an infectious smile and a friendly hello. She loved to spend time with her family. She was at her happiest holding babies, of which there were many. She had 6 wonderful children of her own, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Her love was unconditional.
She was hard-working from day one and held many jobs. Mainly taking care of Edward, raising children, caring for her grandchildren, volunteering in the community, etc.
She was referred to as “Mama Clara” by many of the locals but “GG” (Great-Grandma) was the name she was so proud of.
At family gatherings, she enjoyed playing cards and games and didn’t mind going home with everybody’s money. Going to bingo, crib tournaments, coffee row and watching curling were her favorite pastimes.
She was always there for the important events and milestones which included grandchildren’s hockey, baseball, soccer, volleyball, dance and music recitals, graduations, etc.
She will be greatly missed by anyone who had the honor of knowing her.
As to Clara's request, a private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Clara (to honor her daughter Darlene) may be made to Rail City Industries Inc. 150 2nd Ave W, Melville, SK S0A 2P0.
