To Mr.Rushbrooke's family,  I was a student of his, myself and Tammy. The only 2 girls.  Meeting such a charming personality with the ability to teach and have fun at the same time.  The very inspiration high school kids needed.

Sincere condolences.  I so enjoyed teaching with Ron and later seeing both he and Molly to plan their holidays.  They always spoke highly of their kids.  They were both genuine and kind people.

So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He was a wonderful person with a wonderful zest for life. He and your Mom had a visible love for each other that few experience and I'm sure he is in a better place with her now. They were both a joy to be around and will be missed by all who knew them.

Rowlatt & Daryl, So VERY sorry to hear you've lost your Dad!  I've always enjoyed the family visits we shared over holidays and your Mum & Dad were such fun ... always wanting to hear about theatre on this side of the pond, etc.  Hope you 2 and ALL your family can take comfort in knowing how special they were to so many.  Take care as best you can.

I'm deeply to hear the news of Ron's passing.  He was a VERY GOOD man!  He was a guiding influence for me - and many others - in high school and I always enjoyed my "shop" class.  Ron had a great sense of humour and I'm glad that I was able to stay in touch with him, even if only an annual Christmas card or occassional visit, over the years.  I will certainly miss him.  All the best to Ron's family!

My deepest heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Rushbrooke family.  Ron was my favourite high school teacher.  When he taught Shop class, it felt like he was speaking directly to me although there was a room full of students.  His sharp wit and retorts to fellow students along with his quick gait and stern face (followed with a smile) are things I remember about Ron.  To Ron's family, hold on to your fond memories of Ron and recall them often as they will see you through this difficult time.

Sorry we were unable to attend the funeral. We always enjoyed our 'encounters' with Ron and found interesting his frequent editorials in the IHWNews. We know that you will miss him as will many others. May the Lord bless and keep him.

As a teenager, living across the street from them, joking around was commen. "Hellooooo neighbour!!" was often heard. Lots of laughter for this kid across the street all those years ago. He was a gem. Rest well Ronnie Rushbrooke.

As a child it was always so exciting when Uncle Ron and Mollie were coming to England and to be honest it was still exciting as an adult. Mollie was a loss to the family and Ron will be just as much to the family (on both side of the pond).

I am still in shock having heard of Ron's passing. Thoughts and prayers are with you and the family at this time. Ron was such a special man with a character all his own. So glad you got to spend some special times with him these past few years since Mollie's passing. Now they will be together watching over you all.

I remember "Mr. Rushbrooke" as always seeming to have a private joke running through his head - a gleam in his eye, a mishchievious smirk peeking through his mustache and beard. He seemed exotic and entertaining to me as a small child - a friend and colleague of my parents who would visit and entertain us with his fancy accent. My condolences to your families. Take comfort in your memories and in the joy he spread to others' lives.

It is with sadness that I heard of Ron's death. I was recently fortunate enough to spend eight weeks with Ron (and others) during a program he participated in. He was an incredibly intelligent, caring and charismatic gentleman. I extend condolences to his family and friends, of whom there are many. Your smile and mischievous sense of humor will be missed Ron.

Ron has been a friend to my family for many years, and in the past few years has also become a friend to me. Ron always had a way of brightening my day and keeping us all laughing. He humour and great spirit will be deeply missed.

Dear Rowlett, Your dad was such a classy gentleman.  He made my day every time I met him: "Bonjour madame.  Comment ça va?" And then he'd add: "That's all I know!" - and we'd have a good laugh.  The neighbourhood will never be the same without him.

I was saddened to hear of Ron's (Gramps') passing. He was someone that always brought a smile to my face, and he could still make me blush after all these years when I saw him. Ron and Mollie were good friends from the day they arrived in Indian Head in 1969 and I have happy memories of my bi-annual visits over the years since leaving Indian Head/Regina to return to England.  My love and thoughts to Rowlatt, Daryl and their families.  So sorry I will not be with you on Saturday.

Your Dad and Mom were very special people.  I was a member of their drama group.  I have wonderful memories of them.  They always would tell me to speak up Patti.  May the memories you have of your parents help you through this difficult time.

So very unexpected, "Mr. Rushbrooke" as I have always known him, will be remembered for his years as my teacher and friend.  We still have the piano bench that your dad built for our family piano many years ago.  Still sturdy and strong like I knew him to be.  My prayers are with his family, god bless.
