Alan D. Darnell

68, of Fishers, IN departed this life Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Carmel, IN. Al was born May 26, 1947 in Cleveland, OH to the late Daniel R. and Helen D. (Kisner) Darnell. He was a student athlete and graduate of Mayfield High School in Mayfield Heights, OH. He then earned his degree in business from Ohio University where he played on the last winning football team. Al was also an Honorably Discharged Veteran of the United States Army. He and his bride, Patricia A. Lyman were married in St. Louis, MO in 1987. The couple lived in St. Louis and Florida before settling in Indiana in 2008. Al worked as an employee benefits consultant for many years.

While in Florida, he had served as president of the Suncoast Epilepsy Foundation and as president of Pinellas Leadership. He was a member of the Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Tampa Bay, a dedicated soccer coach to his daughters and a proud Republican.

He is survied by his beloved wife, Patricia A. Darnell; daughters, Emily, Elizabeth and Elle Darnell; son, Scott (Mia) Darnell; grandsons, Johannes, Jericho and Josiah Darnell and brother, James R. (Rosemary) Darnell.

Visitation for Al will begin at 10:00 am on Friday, June 5th at St. Pius X Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be offered in the sanctuary at 11:00 am.
