

Preceding her in death are her parents; sister, Lynette Turnley; brother, Gregory Adams; sons, Dayon Lee Mitchell and Darrick Mitchell; grandson, DaJuan Mitchell.
Angela is survived by her cherished siblings: Andrea Northington; identical twin sister; brothers, DeWayne Adams, William Turnley II and Marvin Turnley. Her legacy of love continues through her daughters, Dina (Calvin) Mitchell and Tori Mitchell, her beloved grandchildren, Syna Jackson, Tamika Mitchell, Eli Pittman
and Elijah Pittman. Her great-grandchildren Dalena Mitchell, Jayden Frierson, Bryce Jackson and Makayla Jackson.
Angela’s extended family includes niece, Deitra Northington, Cheron Turnley, Marissa Turnley, Brianna Petty and Tammie Wilson; nephews, Ronald Northington Jr., William Turnley III, Phillip Turnley, Marvin Turnley and Todd Kelly; GiGi’s Babies, Dior House, Ashanti Smith, D’Marco Wilson and a host of great-nieces and nephews whom she cared for like her own.
Angela found Christ at an early age, joining New Bethel Baptist Church, and rededicated her life to Whole Man Ministry. She was a proud attendee of Crispus Attucks High School. Throughout her life, she worked numerous jobs, but her most important roles were those of a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and Auntie.
Angela was known for her boundless love for children, earning her the affectionate title of “Auntie” by many. Her passion for dancing, cooking, cleaning and priceless advice combined with her generous spirit, made her home a welcoming haven for all. Angela never met a stranger, her catchy phrases were memorable, and her infectious smile could light up any room.
In 2021, Angela relocated to Aurora, Colorado, where she spent her final years traveling and enjoying precious moments with her daughters and grandchildren.
Angela L. Mitchell will be remembered for her unwavering love, humor, and the joy she brought to everyone she met. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A visitation for Angela will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Jerusalem Temple Apostolic, 2125 East 54th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46220, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM.
