Anthony R. DeSanto

Anthony R. DeSanto, 82, died on September 30, 2011. Anthony was born in Youngstown, Ohio, on December 22, 1928, the last of seven children born to his then-deceased father, Anthony DeSanto, Sr., and his mother, Jennie Tucci DeSanto. He is preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. He is survived by one brother, Joseph D. DeSanto, of Poland, Ohio.

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Jane L. (Sbrocco) DeSanto. He is also survived by five children, Dr. Janice DeSanto, Dr. Annemarie DeSanto, Dr. John (Elizabeth) DeSanto, Lauren (Timothy) Berneche, and Michael (Catherine) DeSanto along with 12 grandchildren.

Anthony received degrees from Youngstown State University and The Ohio State University College of Law. He served three years as a judge advocate attorney with the U.S. Army, in excess of two years with the tax division of the U.S. Department of Justice, eight years as a tax attorney with Deere & Company, and 26 years as director and executive director of corporate taxes for Eli Lilly and Company, retiring in December 1993.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 3, 2011. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Services entrusted to Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary. Condolences may be offered at www.feeneyhornakkeystone.com.
