Ashley Tessa Dodson

Ashley Tessa Dodson, 43, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with leiomyosarcoma. Ashley leaves behind the love of her life for 14 years, David Hunter McCourt and their beloved son, Colin Robinson McCourt.

Ashley was born March 20, 1981 in Columbia, South Carolina the daughter of Clarence Dodson and Beverly Page. Ashley found her joy as a devoted mother to Colin and partner to David. She was a self taught seamstress and knitter who gifted many friends and family with the beautiful items she created. Ashley was a true friend to many colleagues from Harry & Izzy’s, a fine dining establishment where she thrived as a server and hospitality supervisor for 9 years. She was well-liked, extremely funny, and easy to talk to. She enjoyed hiking Eagle Creek trails, family vacations, fowling tournaments, and playing cards and games.

The family is grateful for the support extended by so many during the course of her battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, please join us as we celebrate her life and share stories of remembrance.
