Barbara was born to Silvano Figueroa and Margaret Velez on April 16, 1943 in San Francisco, CA. She passed away on February 4, 2025 in her home in Brownsburg, IN from dementia.
Barbara worked as a medical office manager early in her career, then as an workmen's comp claims adjuster. Although she enjoyed her work, Barbara found most of her joy in volunteering in her children's activities when they were young, and in fishing and camping with family and friends. Barbara was a very social person who never met anyone who wasn't a friend. She was bubbly and talkative, and liked to make people laugh when she could.
Barbara is survived by her children Maria Buescher, Andrew Marquesen and Randy Kaminski, as well as her three grandchildren, Joshua Buescher, Sophie and Julian Marquesen. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her sisters Kathy and Darlene, and her son, Michael Marquesen.
