Barbara Lou Houpt-Alt

Barbara Lou Houpt-Alt (Haulk), age 76, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023. Barbara was born November 9, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of the late Robert E. and Mary Louise Haulk. She graduated from Harry E. Wood in 1965 and was a member of the choir at Emmaus Lutheran Church. Barb dedicated her work years to school #39, Methodist Hospital and Indiana Heart Physicians. She then retired from Iron Mountain in 2008. Barbara is survived by her daughters: Ruby Houpt (Ron) Hartwell and Mary Ellen Houpt, sister: Karen Sue Syrus and grandchildren: Amber Freeman (Bowles), Ashley (Jimmy) Wells, Chelsea Houpt, Katriana Houpt, and Lucas Houpt. Along with 10 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and many great friends. Barb was preceded in death by her son: Robert Houpt and husband: James (Jim) Alt.
