

Barbara attended Indianapolis Public Schools and graduated from Crispus Atticks High School.
Barbara was a dedicated hard worker at RCA in which she retired after 35 years. She was a member of New Haven Missionary Baptist Church.
On June 28, 1961 Barbara was united in holy matrimony to Charles Kinchelow Sr.
Barbara loved her family and was always helping to take care of others. She was devoted mother to many people not just her own children. She was just "Mommy" to everybody and she always greeted "Hey Baby". She enjoyed traveling, playing solitaire, watching talk shows, shopping (Macy's, Dollar tree, and don't forget she loved going to the Bank! She loved family gatherings because she knew there would be unforgettable memories created. She was amazing woman A life well lived and a lasting legacy.
Barbara J. Kinchelow went home to be with the lord, he called one of his Angel's home on Tuesday January 22, 2019 at the age of 80. She was proceeded in death by the love of her life Charles S. Kinchelow Sr., parents Gertrude Walker and Leon Vorise, son, Delbert Hampton, and mother-in-law Ann Edith Carruth-Kinchelow.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memories: 5 daughters, Detrick Cooper, Sheila Lewis, Angelia Kinchelow, Trina Johnson, and step daughter Pam (Royce) Rutherford of four sons Leon Lewis, Charles S. (Yolanda) Kinchelow Jr., Jeffery (Tonya) Kinchelow, and Byron K. Kinchelow, sisters-in-law Mary (Robert) McCray of Saginaw, Michigan and Janetta Kinchelow of Denver, Colorado, and Rita Kinchelow brothers-in-laws Kelly and Thomas Kinchelow of Memphis Tennessee and God brother Donald (Betty) Anderson. She had 24 grandchildren 45 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews and cousins.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Greater Morning Star Baptist Church, 519 E 23rd St, Indianapolis, IN 46205. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 12:00 PM, 519 E 23rd St, Indianapolis, IN 46205. A burial will occur Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.
