58, of Indianapolis, passed away at her home on March 5, 2017.
Barb loved the simple and best things in Life: Family, Friends, and sharing experiences. Barb had a very big heart, and everyone she met was her instant friend for life.
Barb loved everyone unconditionally. Barb especially loved children: her nieces, nephews, cousins, friend’s children, neighbor’s children, her Goddaughter, and children she just met. Barb instantly developed special loving bonds with children, and loved playing with them, sneaking them candy and pop-cycles, and helping them with all sorts of fun mischief.
One of Barb’s most favorite events was her annual Easter Egg Hunt for ‘all the Kids’. Barb bought little goodies all year and at Easter, stuffed 400 to 500 plastic eggs with these goodies. Barb, with the help of a few older kids and Bob, would hide the eggs throughout the yard and the neighbor’s yard. Barb would cook a feast, and all the kids and their families would come over for the big Easter Egg Hunt and Party.
Barb loved to cook and loved to can. Barb’s passionate hobby was making and canning her famous homemade salsa, dilly beans, and dilly asparagus, along with other treats including jams, tomatoes and sauces, and other vegetables. Barb continually gave her canned goods to all her friends and family – to everyone. Barb even took her salsa and chips to her doctor and dentist appointments for the staff to share. ‘Bring back the jars and I will give you more.’
Barb loved the Green Bay Packers and especially loved the game day tailgating experience at Lambeau Field, or with her cousin at Robinson Metal’s Tailgate House across the street from Lambeau Field, or at the Packer Club, or at home with her Packer Fan Neighbors. Bob and Barb met at a Green Bay Packer Club at a downtown Indianapolis Sports Bar during the fall of 1995, and attended their first Packer Game – a Playoff game against Atlanta - on December 31, 1995, where Bob met all of Barb’s ‘Up North’ Wisconsin family.
With Bob, Barb really loved to travel, visit places, see things, and meet people. Wherever Barb want go, Bob would take her; and Barb wanted to go wherever Bob want to go. Her last trip was always her favorite and her last trip was to Washington State for her Goddaughter’s wedding and visiting Mt Rainer National Park, Olympia National Park, North Cascades National Park, a whale watching tour, and many more sites and activities in Seattle area.
Barb loved gardening, anything “3 Stooges” or “Wizard of Oz”. She prided herself on being “The Favorite Aunt”! She loved life, her family and people. She never met a stranger and was an incredible giving person. She was your best friend in any crisis.
Barb is survived by her husband; Robert “Bob” Moore, mother; Ethel Thibodeau, siblings; Marcel (Barbara) Thibodeau, Suzie (Matt) Purol, Mark (Sue) Thibodeau and Matt (Jane) Thibodeau, nieces & nephews; Nicole (Lam) Nguyen, Jessica, Maddie and Rachel Thibodeau, Mike and Cassie Purol and Keith and Tracy Thibodeau, great-nieces; Lillian Nguyen and Shannon Noone along with adopted nieces and nephews; Eryne, Bobbie, Will, Sophie, Charlotte, Alex and Jack and many others, you know who you are.
