Bernard S. Wisdom

His family referred to him as “Bud”.

Bernard is survived by his daughter Patricia Wisdom (Rico), granddaughter Jayla Wisdom (Rajah), great-granddaughter Sage Davenport, his sisters Helen Roberta Perry, Cecelia Wisdom, Margaret Lobo, Dolores Wisdom, his brothers Warren Wisdom (Vicki), and John Wisdom (Brenda), and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Wisdom, his parents Bernard and Elaine Wisdom, and his sisters Patricia Gilliam, Mary Wisdom, Therese Dioum, and Dorothea Wisdom.

Bernard attended St. Bridget and St. Rita Catholic Grade Schools and graduated from Cathedral High School, Indianapolis, IN. He obtained his BS at Rutgers University, New Jersey.

Throughout his life, Bernard was dedicated to his family, and to serving his country. He, and my mother Linda, together created a dynamic duo and expression of what family and love means.

They were always prepared its seems for any circumstance and willing to assist at every turn.

Our family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all for their prayers, gifts, love, support and kindness in honor of Bernard. Please continue to keep us in prayer.

Services for Bernard Wisdom are being held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at St Rita Catholic Church in Indianapolis, Indiana with visitation beginning at 10am until time of service at 11am. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6851 S. Indianapolis Road, Whitestown, Indiana.
