Bettie Lue Young

Bettie Lue Young, 74, of Indianapolis, Indiana went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Bettie was born December 11, 1948 in Turrell, Arkansas to Rosa Franklin and Joe Franklin who preceded her in death. Her sister's Joe Lee Franklin, Mae Lee Franklin, Martha Franklin, Evelyn Watkins, Amy Johnson, Mary Franklin, Jonas Franklin, Lila Mae Ross, and Minnie Reed Franklin preceded her in death along with one brother Joe Franklin and a great granddaughter Da'shawnna Lee.

Bettie later moved to Benton Harbor, Michigan where she had two girls and a boy. Betie did a lot of jobs to take care of her family. She was always a lovable women, She loved baking, dancing, and listening to the blues. We will miss Bettie and cherish every moment we had with her. Now go ahead Queen, take you seat next to your son Alexander, who preceded her in death.

Bettie leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Shirley Harris (Stacey Harris), Catherine Harris (Tyrone), sister: Minnie Lee Franklin, 8 grandchildren: Adrian, Roger, Torkika, Kathryn, Jasmine, Dashawn, Deandrea, Jessica, 24 great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and loved ones.

A visitation for Bettie will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West, 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224, followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 PM.

Bettie will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 38th St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.
