

He accepted Jesus as his Savior at the early age of 9 years old and was baptized. He was a member of Zion Hope Independent Missionary Baptist Church, under the Pastorate of Pastor James Wells. He loved Bible class and attending church with his friends.
He attended kindergarten at Henry Elementary School in Henry, Tennessee. He attended Indianapolis Public Schools #1, #88, and Forest Manor Middle School. He was a graduate of Thomas Carr Howe High School “Class of 1988.”
After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served for 8 years. After his military discharge, he went to work at Coca-Cola Bottling Company. He went on later to work at Valspar Paint, Flutes Inc., Pepsi Cola, and Ken Foods and Carrier.
He loved sports. He was always at the gym playing basketball when he was not working. He enjoyed cooking and entertaining. He loved to barbeque and called himself “The Grill Master.” He liked to try out new recipes.
He left his employment to take care of his mother full time, who is in declining health and was also taking care of his aunt.
He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Jerdson Brooks Gamble.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Bernice P. Gamble; father, James Lee Dodson; stepmother, Janice Dodson; sisters, Delisa A. Brown (Vincent), Kenyel Day, and Heather Tatum and lots of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A visitation for BDot will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, a Celebration of Life and repass will follow.
