

Bruce was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on September 25th, 1949. The son of late Marvin Emil Schultz and Elizabeth Mary (Schultz) Lowe. As a young man, Bruce served in the United States Air Force. Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he went to work as a carpenter and later became a certified truck driver from Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wisconsin. After settling his family in Kokomo, Indiana, he studied and graduated from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary as an ordained minister. He pastored New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Tipton, Indiana (which later was renamed Grace Missionary Baptist) for several years. He then decided to follow his love for woodworking and started his own furniture making business, Unique Specialties. Bruce wore many hats throughout his life, but of all the titles he ever went by, Dad was his most treasured of them all.
Bruce is survived by his children: Robert J Schultz, Doris M (Steve) McCoy and Tammy L (Ron) Hudelson; 9 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his siblings: Christine (Alan) Thomson-Vandenbush, Patricia Haack, Lisa (Dennis) Bargo, Julie (Jeff) Lithgow, Lynda (Tom) Szafranek, Stephen Schultz, Stephanie (Todd Purdy) Vorachek and Debbie (Rob Anderson) Meler.
Bruce was preceded in death by his infant son, Bruce W. Schultz Jr., his parents, Marvin E. Schultz and Elizabeth M. Schultz-Lowe, and his brother, Douglas L Schultz.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, September 1, 2018, from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm at Crown Hill, Gothic Chapel, 700 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46208 Military Honors will be held following the funeral service.
Bruce was a very meticulous, hardworking, kind, generous man, that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ, professed his faith, and always did whatever he could for anyone in need. He will be deeply missed.
