Bryant Keith Melton Jr.

Bryant Keith Melton Jr. was born February 10th, 1998, to Bryant Keith Melton Sr. and Fanchon M. (Smith) Bush. Bryant was introduced to the Bible at the age of three, when he attended preschool at Joy Tabernacle Christian Academy. Bryant gave his life to Christ at the age of 8 and was baptized at Olivet Missionary Baptist Church. On the day of baptism, he exclaimed “I’ve been waiting on this day my whole life.”

Bryant graduated from Pike High School, Class of 2016; he went on to Indiana State University for several years. Bryant went into a career working with individuals with special needs and warehousing. Bryant loved music, art and being an Uncle. When Bryant was not out socializing with peers, loving on family, or adulting, he enjoyed playing with and teaching his nieces and nephews. Bryant was preceded in death by his grandparents Mattie P. Addison (maternal-grandmother), Wallace I. Smith Jr. (maternal-grandfather) and Kenny Melton (paternal-grandfather).

Bryant earned his wings on February 18th, 2024.

Left to cherish his memories are his parents Bryant Keith Melton Sr., Fanchon and Kelvin Bush. Bryant’s grandparents, Debra and Willie Barlow; siblings, Chanique’ M. Weathersby (Indianapolis, IN), Briante’ K. Melton (Indianapolis, IN), Daveon Melton (Bloomington, IN), Keyera Melton (Des Moines, IA), Amanda Adams (Des Moines, IA), Kayla Bush (Indianapolis, IN), Kirsten (Tavon) Jefferson (Jacksonville, FL), and

Aysia Jamerson (Des Moines, IA); his uncles, Gregory, Perry, Quintiney, Joseph, Keith, Brandon, Wallace, and Craig; his aunts, Pinkie, Nannette, Tysharon, Yvette, Nicole P., Nicole M., Tiffany, Tenisha, Jessica, Tenita, Shawnda; his loving nieces (3) and nephews (7) and host of cousins. Bryant was a loving son, caring sibling and an amazing uncle and friend who will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Bryant will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM.
