

CAROL attended Indianapolis Public Schools as a child, was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School and earned a Seamstress Certification.
CAROL began a successful career as a self- employed seamstress, and upholsterer. Her unmatched skills and creative flare earned her a stiller reputation in the industry. She owned a successful cleaning business that serviced businesses in the downtown area then in later years at Fort Knox military base located in Fort Knox, Kentucky. She taught upholstery for Goodwill and at other locations for years.
CAROL was dedicated to her loved ones especially her children. She enjoyed spending time being creative, being amongst family, and friends. Importantly she loved God and enjoyed sharing life lessons. She would often encourage others to pray and stay close to the Lord. She was a great example of devotion, strength, perseverance and grace.
CAROL accepted Jesus Christ at New Bethel Baptist Church and would serve wherever and whenever she could.
CAROL departed this earthly life loved and cared for on September 27, 2022. Her only son Jeffery Eston Upshaw, granddaughter Sherelle Felicia Davis, grandsons; Christopher Tremain, Sunder Lee Cooper Jr., Jonathan Rippy preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory her four daughters; Crystal L. (Duane) Turner, Sherelle E. Rippy, Sherae E. Love, Carla L. (Raymond) Durr; sixteen grandchildren; Sherae, Domoniqua, Jeffery Jr., Stephen, Brian, Jerel, Brittaney, Kiesha, Taniesha, Evan, Alicia, Phil-Don, Aaron, Rossie, Duane and Allan; great grandchildren and great-great children; two nephews, Micheal and Stephen; one niece Rita.
