 Obituario de Carolyn Jean Wible
Carolyn Jean Wible of Indianapolis died in the early hours of Saturday, January 9th, 2021. Following an illness, she died at home in her sleep with her husband Gregory holding her hand. Jean dedicated her life to making the world a healthier and happier place. Having completed nursing school in 1972, she worked as an LPN until graduating from St. Francis University in 1984 with a BA in Psychology. She then expanded her work in the healthcare industry to include Behavioral Healthcare. She worked with people at all stages of life: from newborns in the hospital, to students as a school nurse at Liberty Park Elementary, to elderly patients at several local nursing homes. Through her decades of service, she saved lives and touched the hearts of many more. Jean will be remembered most for her kindness, her impishness, and her ability to make the mundane magical. In addition to her own children, many of their friends considered Jean a “second mom” and loved her deeply. In fact, anyone who needed advice, a hug, or a home for the holidays was welcome. She was an avid reader and a crackerjack Euchre and Scrabble player (she once scored 225 points on a SINGLE WORD). A friend to animals of all sorts, she was particularly devoted to her dogs over the years. Jean loved nothing more than a party, surrounded by her family and friends. She made it very clear to all of us that we weren’t to hold a funeral, we were to throw a party. Her Celebration of Life will take place in the late spring or early summer – more information will be posted at www.feeneyhornakshadeland.com. She is celebrated by her husband Gregory Wible and four children: Kathy (Gus) Berghoff, Traci (Karen) Goss-Hamilton, Rob (Lola) Hamilton, and Molly (Christopher) Sweets; ten grandchildren: Andrea, Justin, Kris, Sandra, Rob II, Kasey, Juanita, Robin, Hannah, and Kelli; eleven great-grandchildren: Darrious, Neveah, Eli, Breckyn, Carlos, Taylynn, Brianna, Ella, Paxton, AJ, and Adriana; her brother Don Wood; her sister Sue (Tom) Word and their children: Chad (Rachel) Hatten, Cara Strathmann, and Aaron (Michelle) Word; as well as many, many friends. Jean was a storyteller and we won’t let her stories go untold. If you have a story or two, please submit them to [email protected] for us to compile. In lieu of flowers, please share in one of Jean’s favorite pastimes by picking a special gift and sending it to someone you love, or donate to your local Humane Society.
